I think this company probably has good intentions, and is doing something good in the world with their business model. But the problem is that they really market themselves as a transparent business, saying that their supply chain and ingredients are completely transparent and trustworthy compared to other superfood companies. They emphasize that all their products are tested by an independent third-party laboratory for safety and potency. But when you ask questions like- how much arsenic is found in your Plant Collagen, which contains rice bran solubles (known to contain high levels of dangerous arsenic), they say they are unwilling to share those numbers, but to rest assured that they would never sell a product that Michael and Kristel wouldn't use themselves. I honestly don't understand why we should feel all warm and fuzzy about a "third party" and "independent" lab testing their products, when we still have to "take their word for it" on the results of said tests. If I'm taking "YourSuper's" word for it, then what's the point of outside tests? Just do the tests in house if we aren't going to be privy to the unbiased results. If you go as far as to make it sound like the results are unbiased, but you don't share the results, then your advertisements of transparency are false. For a company that is marketing to people who are trying to improve their health, not being transparent about serious and valid concerns of products that consistently contain high levels of arsenic, is a very shady way to do business.
I have looked into a variety of other superfood companies. There are some that operate in the same way (claiming to have third party testing done, but unwilling to share the results), and there are also companies who have third party testing done, and offer to send results to anyone who asks for them. So it is possible, and there is precedent for sharing this information with customers. This leads me to believe that companies like YourSuper which do not share their test results are not operating with the highest level of transparency, and thus should not mislead customers by claiming to be such.
This is just one example of several issues with transparency that I had with this company. In the end, I am returning the products I ordered because I cannot be certain that they are safe longterm.
Their customer service is terrible. Never answer the phone or emails. Simply ignore customers after purchase.
They only answer you super fast before place an order. Horrible.
